Hello

I didn't think I would get a chance to scrap this months Kraft+challenge, mainly because of time but also because I froze when I saw the theme......
They don't call it a 'challenge' for nothing, lol!
Anyway I had a photo of my beautiful cats and I thought I'd give it a go. I have kept it very very simple.....
I used a gold shimmer over a stencil under my layering and a few paint flicks before I started my simple layers. I managed to find a few circle embellishments and even though it's not quite my usual bright I'm happy with the simplicity of this page.
You still have time to give this challenge a go, why don't you see what you have in your stash and have a play along??

Emma Zappone - guest designer share

Hey there everyone, it's Emma here today!
So very excited to be a guest designer this month and share some of my creations.
I love what D-lish has to offer in embellishments because I'm in LOVE with embellishments!!!
Here is my first LO....
So in this LO I was actually drawn and inspired to the Orange on the inside of the Twinings teabag box. So I pulled out my orange D-lish goodies and used an orange peg clipped to my photo, resin flowers, and a couple of awesome flairs.
I also love the wood embellishments that Amanda has to offer in the shop such as these Pink Fresh Studio arrows! And the wood frames, but in this case I cut the frame right down and only used part of it under my photo so that I could use the arrow part of it more noticeably. And I can't get enough of the wood words and quotes....
I found a new lease of life for the good ol' embossing powders and using stamps created a couple of little points of interest.
Simple yet effective.

My next LO showcases one of the great monthly kits D-lish put out at the start of each month. I love how coordinated they are and give there own inspiration just by looking at it! Here is what I created with one.......
It just so happens that this kit was built up around my fave colours!!! It included gorgeous felt flowers, resin flowers, wire which I curled, a heart and deer chipboard, washi, bitty bag, flair, doily and some paper tags. (So many awesome bits) I again pulled out the emboss powder and used on my wood deer.
How cute is he??? And I played with texture paste and a couple of mists to match the kits colour scheme.
A bit of extra stamping and my page is done. O and when Amanda sends out the kits she packs it so nicely with a matching raffia ribbon which I used around my photo. (Gotta use everything, heheheh).

And lastly a quick card I made for my dear hubby!
Here I used a 'project life' card, Washi, flair, chipboard, chipboard frame, and doily. This came together very quickly and easily.
And it's all because of the great pieces D-lish has to offer.
I hope I have inspired you to get crafting.
This is such a great honor and opportunity.
Thanks for letting me share with you all.

What's up?

Scrap the Boys  have their June challenge up!
Create from this sketch.....
What is something that I definitely love doing? Thats getting inspo from a sketch!
And a multi photo sketch at best!
In keeping with my 'kiss' (keep it simple stupid) concept at the moment here is my creation for this challenge....
When I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use these photos of Asha! He brings so much personality into my layouts. And because I didn't want to detract from my photos too much I wanted my elements to be simple but noticeable.
You can never go wrong with stars and arrows with boy layouts. And I also added a couple of stamps under my photos and paper before layering.
I love using emboss powders a lot lately, they dress up chipboard nicely with this simple tecnique.
I'm really happy with this layout especially as it's not as bright as my usual layouts would be.
Hope you love it too.

Love you

Another month means another lot of challenges!!! So that means lots of inspiration. My first lot of inspo comes from the amazing Sassy Scrappers board, which looks like this.....
So many 'pretty' colours I didn't know what photo to use. Then the quote in it makes it feels a little on the romantic side.
This is how it made me feel anyway.
What I love about mood boards is that everyone interprets it a little different. So because I saw this as romantic love I chose to scrap the love of my life.....
It became difficult to scrap my man as the colours are very feminine and soft. So I decided to use a masculine background paper and soften it with a couple of complementary mists. I'm not afraid to use flowers on my male layouts so I only used a few that went with the mood board. I added 'masculine' stamps and a couple of embellishments that made it more suited to a male....
I'm really happy with the simplicity of how this layout came together. Sometimes not over complicating is the best way to get a page scrapped!
Hope you like it too.
The month is far from over, so if you have a chance check out Sassy Scrappers mood board and get scrapping!!!
