3rd D-lish project for October

Happy Friday to you all,

Today I share my last LO with you for this month.
And I feel I saved the best one till last.
I say this because I just love the background!!
For this months cyber crop I have got you all to try the technique of using shaving cream with food colouring. I, like many of you, have tried it with inks, and the outcome is just gorgeous!

I used just 2 water based inks and put it onto a patterned paper that I wanted to use up.
I used the kaisercraft water based mists and they have just the most amazing shimmer in them.
But more importantly I used some awesome new goodies that has been restocked in the D-lish store.
The Dusty Attic chipboard is just fantastic to play with, you can leave it bare, ink it or paint it. I chose to paint the arrows

They look amazing hey? But I decided to leave some of the page pebbleswood veneer and chipboard raw to stand out against all the colour. I love the simple cluster on this Layout with the gorgeous silver flair as a stand out.

I finished it all off with some washi tape and a couple of journal it's. This is a real fave page of mine at the mo.
I hope you find a little time and collect some inspo this month to have a go at this quick and easy and very effective technique.
You won't be disappointed!!
Check out what all the other Design girls are up to also, a real showcase of talent they are.
Till next month, Em. Xx

Real Life

Happy Friday everyone,

So today I'm sharing a photo of me!
This year im trying to scrap more of me, often we forget about ourselves and yet we are the story tellers.

The JAP kit last month was perfect for me with this photo as I love all things feathered and winged. I also wanted to use a touch of gold as it's not usually my go to colour. But I thought hey let's get fancy!

D-lish goodies used here are a  JAP kit, clear cabachons, doilie, washi tape, and great journal tops, wooden peg and bitty bag. The JAP kits are always amazing as it gives you instant inspo.
A new month is very close now so keep an eye out for next months kit release.

I loved the chipboard birds so I embossed them to just add an extra bit of gold and colour. A friend showed me how to make these awesome washi feathers so I had to have a play and incorporate them into this LO.

Hope you are inspired to turn the camera around and scrap you!
Catch ya tomorrow.
Em. Xx

Bliss

Morning Deer and Fawners!

I have been having some fun this week playing with stencils and mists!! And I really wanted them to stand out in my page.

I just love the 2 stencils I used here on this LO, they are Flutterbys and Crafters workshop!! I took this photo before I scrapped on it.

Pretty cool hey?

I used a modeling paste and then about 4 different mists.
I was also inspired by Amanda's page last week, where she used no colour. This was just a great concept.... except....I struggle to use no colour, lol!! So I really wanted to try to stick to 'less' colour, and came up with this.

This paper range 'barista' by BasicGrey just lends itself to speak without much colour.
And I love to tell a story with multiple photos. And I dug around my stash to use up a few 'older' but still totally awesome embellies!
Why not give these ideas a try yourself. I think you will love the outcome!

Till next week, Em. Xx

Sweet Love

Hi, Wow!!!
My very first post for D-lish is here!!
I'm Very excited to be here it's a dream come true and I hope to share and hopefully inspire you with a few of this months creations!!
So without any more raving here it is....

These are my fave colours at the moment. And D-lish  caters to my every need! I wanted to create some thing sweet and soft, I love this man, he is my calm and my sweetheart. So I tried to capture this sweetness here.

I love to embellish, some say I over embellish, is there such a thing, hehe. So some of the awesome products I used are a  D-lish flair , felt flowers left over from a JAP kit, resin flowers,  chipboard heart, which I placed  another chipboard on top of, crochet flower,  arrow,  peg,  journal tops, wood venner script, coloured wire and I even layered with some of the left over tissue paper also from a kit.

I hope you like my first share and will be back tomorrow to show you what else I've been creating....
Till tomorrow....Em. Xx

Tranquility

Happy Sunday everyone,
I have been challenged every month by the really talented challenge setters over at Kraft Plus.
And this month was no exception.....

It's great hey? I wasn't sure if I was going to have a go at this one, but after we went to this picturesque spot, and soaked my feet in the cool water, I was a little more inspired!

I told my boys about this up coming challenge and how we could incorporate something of nature on it, so we collected the tiny pebble/rocks and now I had no excuse not to have a play, lol!

I added some dimensional magic over the rocks just to make them look 'wet' and it also brought out the colour in them.

There is still plenty of time to have a go at this great challenge. Why not be inspired by nature today?

Till next scrap adventure, Em. Xxx

Be free

Hi everyone,
Ok so as you all know, I love to try out the monthly challenges!

This month has been crazy busy and today I finally got some play time, and I thought I'd try one that I haven't yet tried.

It's the mood board over at Charms Creations......

It just said country charm and peacefulness to me. And I managed to get my hands on some of her great 'charms'.....

So I took this photo on the way home after 3 days of 4wd camping in the bush. We all stopped and put our dusty dirty feet into the cool water and felt refreshed after a hot drive home.

Anyway back to the LO, how cute is that heart 'charm'!!! And I added the doiliesob my page  to add to the country rustic feel.

I had fun creating this one, still loving my layers and clustering. Very happy with this page.

There is still time to have a go at this mood board, why not get creating today!
Till next time.

Scrap ya later, Em. Xx

In love with you

Hi everyone!
I have had a crazy couple of days and weeks so sadly have not had a lot of scrap time.
So.....I thought I would share a LO I created a few weeks back. The reason I picked this Page to share with you all is because I love the layers and colours, and the awesome embellies!
Here tis...

I used a beautiful JAP kit from D-lish scraps to help create this. What I loved is that it used 2 colours I would not normally put together. The red and blue! What a great match!

We had a blast in Melbourne my hubby and I a few months back, and this background paper just said quirky Melbourne to me.

We saw this type of pattern in many places!
I love the layering on this page also. So many bits! I just love bits!!

I hope you have a chance to scrap and be inspired in the crazy hectic life we all lead.
Till next week, Em.

Guest Designer - Emma's Focus on the happy

Hi!
I'm so excited to be sharing my first LO as a Deer and Fawn Guest Designer with you all!
And what a super fantastic challenge it is this month.
'Scrap a page about yourself'- who does that??? It's so easy to point that camera at others, but every now and then a good 'Selfie' never goes astray.
Here is my creation.....

I love colour so I just had to use this paper, it's bold and bright!
Layering with PL cards is what I do and I love building it up, complimenting each colour as I build.
But my biggest Love is my LOVE of embellishing!!
And I have been itching to use a few Pink Fresh Studio embellies i have in my stash. I just had to use the fun puffy feathers, and the quote chipboard was perfect to reflect on what I need to do. And as a mum of 2 boys, flowers had to be used. Every girl needs flowers right?? And D-lish flairs are a must for every LO!

It's never easy being honest with ourselves, and talking about ourselves, but we need to remember we scrap for others just as much as we scrap for ourselves.

Who has emboss powder and forgets to use it?? Chipboard as much as I love it raw, adding powder gives it that extra bit of texture (and a little bling). So why not grab that powder and have a play.

Well that's me for this week,
I hope I have inspired you to turn that camera around to point back at you, and be honest, because you are just as important to document like everyone else that you love.
Can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Till next time,
Em xx
