Together

Hi there,
So today I'm sharing with you a layout I created for the Scrap the Boys mood board.
It was great to have time to scrap a challenge again after a break. (And actually having time lol)

Here is the mood board....
I had a lot of fun creating this one, I really wanted to play with some modeling past and the board called for colour, I also wanted to incorporate stamps.

I love my stamps but often forget to use them until the layout is nearly finished and then it's prob too late...but this time I prepared myself for it.

The colour scheme was a playful one and I got worried when I thought I had no purple, but it's amazing how much you find hidden in your stash.

I finished it all off with a thickers word and a handful of embellishments. A page I feel very happy with, capturing my amazing yet mischievous boys.
Hope you get inspired to play along or try something new.
Till next time,
Em. Xxx

Hey good looking

Happy Friday everyone,
it's the end of the work week for a Lot of us so that means ScRaP time!!!
Today I'm sharing with you a layout created with this months JAP kit and mood board.
I don't know about you but I can't wait for the first of every month when Amanda releases this
fantastic D-lish product.
Here is my layout for it....

And here is the awesome mood board....

This photo of my hubby 'clowning' around at a kids party this month suited the kit and mood board perfectly. And it was great to have male elements in this kit. It is super playful and bright.
I used a lot of the JAP kit up on this page as I tend to love every element and just have to use it. 😝

The felt bow was perfect to use as a bow tie and the banner and flags gave it a slight carni feel. And I love the fun of that. I added only a couple of extra project life cards to layer under all the cool elements in this kit.

I added a couple of wood buttons from cocoa vanilla and some twine, the rest is the kit.
There are still a couple of days left to the month, I hope you get a chance to play with this mood board as the colours just scream to be played with.
I'll catch you tomorrow with my final share for this month.
Have a great Friday everyone.

Awaiting the doctor.

Yay it's the weekend!!!
Hope you get some time to play.
Today I'm sharing my layout of one of my fave past times, Doctor Who.

Here is the challenge...

We at D-lish got asked to create some layouts for the month of January for CSI, Colour, Stories and Inspiration, this was super cool as I had never tried any of their challenges before. it has always been on the to-do list, but always slightly intimidated by it. And it was so much fun.
When I saw this challenge I new exactly what to do with it. Clocks and cogs always seem to remind me of time travel and The Doctor (of Course).

I added a few metals, brads and of course I found the perfect D-lish flair to put on it. I also used some Dusty Attic chipboard circles and stencil, this has a very subtle element on the Cardstock before I started my layers.

It was a great privilege to be a part of this experience, and I think in the future a challenge that I might enjoy again.
I thank D-lish for this experience also as without being a part of this awesome team I wouldn't be pushed out of my comfort zone and try new things.
Have you had a try at something different lately? A challenge maybe?
We have some great ones going at the moment over at the Scrap Suite, you should so check it out and have a go. You might surprise yourself, and I would love to see what you all create.

Till I see you next month, happy scrapping.

Hello sunshine

Hi, hope every ones Thursday is going to be a great one. It's my turn to share some of my creations showcasing the fantastic D-lish goodies. The first one I want to share with you is of a photo that was taken at the end of winter when we started to have a few sunny warmer days and of my boys actually being the friends they can be, lol.....

Every now and then they surprise me and will allow me to take photos of them together.with this layout I made it pretty simply. I used a spread of gesso on my paper and while wet sprinkled some glass beads across my page, this way they stuck nicely. I just love the punchinella, and it comes in so many colours, I chose the star one for this layout.

I used some washi under the punchinella as a layer, I painted the dusty attick chipboard circle and placed it directly over my photo and decided to leave the 'hello sunshine' chipboard from a previous JAP kit plain,(it just didn't need anything else on it). This quote was most fitting for the day and the photos of my Sonshines....

I finished it with some journal arrows and journal tabs, wooden arrows, a d-lish camera flair and a coloured wire arrow at the top of my photo as the cherry on the top so to speak. lol.
This was a nice quick layout that has a calm feel.
Hope this inspires you to play with some simple mediums that we probably all have.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Em. Xx

Summer Vibes-1st share for SUYS

Well hello there!
Its my first blog and show as a design member for 'Show us your Stuff' and it's really exciting to be here.
This month we have a gorgeous mood board to be inspired by. And to make it even more awesome it's inspired by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.  Super cool!

It's so fresh and summery. I decided to draw inspo from the pineapples and the brights from the board.

Ah yes, you had me at pineapple! Lol!
Cocoa vanilla are an awesome Australian company that make the most amazing scrap range, from papers to embellishments it covers every need you have.

Show us you stuff is all about showing handmade items. So in this layout I have used Charms creations sun and cloud (totally in love with the clouds) and then I had to use my embossed gold foil for a sparkly element.

It's fun, it's bright and to me it feels like summer.

There is still plenty of January left, I would love to see what you create with this stunning moodboard and what inspires you.
Till next we scrap, Em. Xxx

Case file no 188

Here we go with another share of a CSI challenge.
My second investigation as you may like to call it. The colour scheme was a little more 'me' friendly, lol, and a fantastic sketch from The Nifty Pixel! (Thanks Em).

It's fun and bright hey?
Here is how I solved it.....

I loved that you could choose a song or lyrics of a song to include in your title, so I chose 'crazy' by Gnarles Barkley. It was just fitting with the crazy photos we take of each other.
And I got to use D-lish products also which is always a win.

Go and investigate this one, so many ways of cracking this case file.
Till next we meet,
Em. Xx

Creating for CSI along with D-lish Scraps

Who has ever tried a CSI challenge? They look amazing right? Well I finally had a play with one, as part of D-lish scraps design team and D-lish sponsoring we were asked to have a go at a few upcoming 'investigations'.
Here is the first one I tried, challenge 187....

And here i have cracked the case....

As soon as I saw the challenge I immediately thought of 'the Doctor'.
I had a lot of fun playing with all the elements. Using a few D-lish goodies too.

I used inks and stamps and metals that I haven't played with in quite awhile.

Why don't you have a go and see if you can solve this case also.
Happy investigating.
