Discover - video and share with Emma.

Hello all you awesome 2Crafty people!!
Today I have a video share to show you. But first my layout....

I just fell in love with this image, it’s one I found on Pinterest.

And these are chipboard pieces I used for this layout...

And I thought how perfect the dandelion chippy was for this page.

Lots of soft colours used on my base and then used the same colours on my chippy which i also embossed on the dandelions.

The mini branches I left with only the ink painted on them.
You can see how I do all this in my vid.

The ‘discover’ title I coated in black ink so that it sort of became a part of the photo.

You can see it all come together here....

Thanks so much for watching, and I look forward to seeing you all next month.
Till then, Em xx

Journal art

Hi ScrappingClearly peeps,
Today I’ve got an art journal page to share with you, and I must say it’s not quite what I had invisaged!
It’s messier then I had hoped and I feel it’s not complete?
What do you think?

I have used lots of mixed media products on this.
Firstly I started out my base paints. I used Art Anthology in Fiji and Silver. But then covered some of the silver with Ranger Caribbean Coast.
Much happier with the colour tone then.

I then stamped a Dark room door Stamp with Ranger Emboss ink and proceeded to emboss in yellow as a contrast to all the blues.

As I was using the quirky paper dolls I wanted to add a couple of quirky elements, hence this particular stamp.

I then used some Art Badics modelling paste through a stencil, and once dry patted some liquid Distress oxide ink in pink over the stencilling to give it s hint of colour.
You can see all this come together in my video  ðŸ˜Š

I painted my 2Crafty chipboard in Dylusions rose quartz acrylic paint.
Scattered my people around the place and added a Tim Holtz quote band.
So what do you think??
I must keep playing and practicing!

I hope it inspires you a little to try outside your comfort zone??

I’ll catch you all next month, and I hope you have an awesome Scrappy time until then.

Escape - with Emma

Hey there,
Today I’m sharing just a quick layout, again inspired by the off the rails moodboard.

This one I wanted to keep clean and minimal.
Instead of putting paint down first I chose to emboss some colour instead.
And I must say I had fun!

Then I used a couple of 2Crafty chipboard pieces to become my layers and some basic flowers.

I then placed a few enamel dots and flicked ink around.
Once I was happy placing all my elements, I put a couple of emotion stickers to finish the ‘feel’ of the page and then added some prills to add that last  bit of sparkle.

I hope you feel inspired to play along with the moodboard.
I’ll catch you all next month.
Scrappy love, Em. Xx

Adventure awaits-video share with Emma.

Hi everyone and I’m really happy to share this layout with you all.
It’s a little unstructured but I love the freeness of this page.
It is inspired by our moodboard of this month.

Here are a few close ups.....

I have used lots of 2Crafty chippy and stamps to create my layers and texture.

And I used only 2 shades of orange on this layout to really keep to the theme.

And my video tutorial is now available to view 😊

I hope it will inspire you to play with our moodboard.

Together - by Em

Hi everyone to this fantastic Thursday!
Today I’m sharing a layout that again was inspired by some Pinterest art. (O my there is so much awesome on Pinterest)
I also sort of kinda played with this months moodboard colours 😜
So here is my take....

I’ve used lots of SC products.
For my base I placed white Gesso then over that I started with distress oxide in peeled paint. Smooshing this over the gesso.

Your life is a Story by Emma

Hello, hello all 2Crafty Peeps!!
I’m so excited to be designing and playing along with this awesome team!
And to share and hopefully inspire you but also be inspired by all of you.
For my first share I have created a masculine page using lots of Chippie.

I’ve used these pieces of chipboard on my page:

I wanted my page to be a bit of fun as my boys were pulling the best faces.
I started with applying Gesso straight onto my background, and then i chose my colours, which became, Gold, yellows and a splash of green.

Because i had chosen the awesome hexagon chipboard which i inked in black, i chose a hexagon stencil, 2 sizes, one i Gold texture paste and the other in Black.
Then with my Distress Oxides i Smooshed, Yep smooshed the colour all over the stencils and gesso.
Then i went over that with my Stamps.
The Harlequin Chippie i inked in black then embossed over it in a distressed Gold to give a different texture from the rest of the page.

For my layers i went deep into my stash and used up scrap pieces.
this included tags, off cuts and cards.
I love doing this as it makes each page feel unique.
I very rarely use a full range but choose elements from a few different ones and make them work together.
The arrows i also coated in black ink to really pop from the page as these were a major embellishment element.

Finally as my Finale i flicked artists ink around my page to bring it all together.

This page makes me smile, and i feel it really speaks my style.
Plus the photo is awesome as my boys were all dressed up and then pulled cracker faces.
I'm so happy to be here and i look forward to sharing another layout with you all very soon.
Till then,
Em xx
