Breathe - created for ScrappingCleary

Welcome to Tuesday SC friends.

Today I'm sharing a page that has been created using inspo from this months moodboard.

It's a beautiful textural moodboard, with very pretty colour tones.

Not my usual go to colours, but it did allow me to dig into my stash a little deeper.

Here is my interpretation.....

I tried very hard to get texture into this page and followed the drappng down of fabrics by using strips of paper.

These strips were made from 3 sheets from Heidi Swapp September skies 6x6 paper pad.

I added torn pieces of fabric in amongst them.

To add more texture I used a Heidi swapp Fabric tag that I distressed to add more interest.

I also layered a few pieces from a Heidi swapp Ephemera pack.

The title "breathe" comes from a set of acetate words also by the cool Heidi Swapp.

Very fitting for this image I thought.

My back ground work consisted of a few ingredients, firstly by applying Clear gesso on my base sheet, once dry I added a Distress Oxide in Abandoned Coral an then dripped some reinkers in Tattered rose and Candied apple.

The doilies were coated in Spun sugar.

Finally a added 2 Pink Fresh stitched hearts to the page and now the page is complete.

Sweet Squirrel - created for 2Crafty and Csi

Hi 2Crafty friends, Emma sharing with you today.

Today's inspo is a page that has been created for a guest design over at CSI that 2crafty is sponsoring this month.

Here is the chipboard I chose to use.....

This is a very cute whimsy challenge and I couldn't wait to use this fun squirrel image.

I coated the wild flower chippy in a distress oxide and then stamped a flower image over the top to add more texture. Very simple but effective.

For the leaves I coated in another oxide ink but then rubbed a metallique wax over the top to give it shine.

The frame I decided to spray with a black shimmer ink and the effect was perfect for the layout, simple but a standout.

I solved this CSI case by choosing the colour scheme from the scene and used the inspiration of the woodland creatures for my image photo.

From the evidence I used a border (chipboard) leaves (chipboard) splats, mushrooms, string.

I also created a Haiku for the testimony or Journaling feature. 

It reads.....

We are fearless - Scrappingclearly Cyber Crop challenge

Welcome to Tuesday everyone.

Today I'm sharing the page I created for my challenge for the Cyber crop.

My challenge was to be inspired by the colours of a Pavlova. I don't know what toppings you have on your Pav but I chose to go with Blue for blueberries Red for the strawberries and Yellow-Orange for mango or nectarines and a white background for the fluffy meringue......OK now I just want some Pav mmmmmm.

For this page I simply started off by applying a flower from the Jane Davenports Build a Bouquet range  and clear embossed them 5 times down the page where I wanted the colour to appear.

Next I started to apply my colours with some Vicki Boutin Water colours to match my Pav colours.

Using a spray of water over the embossed stamps I then applied the paint and flicked excess next to the flower to create interest.

The leaves stamp is from a Inkadinkado range, I also stamped leaves and the same flower I embossed onto white card and fussy cut them out to become my embellishments.

Then I stamped leaves amongst the coloured flowers to give a little dimension.

I chose a couple of Heidi Swapp tags to layer under my image, but painted one of them white to match in with the theme a little better, and cut them down to size so I could have a variety of tag sizes.

After arranging the flowers and leaves I added some Tim Holtz small talk stickers.

A nice simple yet colourful layout is now complete.

Mr Fantastic - created for ScrappingClearly

Hello SC friends.

Emma here with you today to share a masculine and fun layout.

I found this image on Pinterest and loved the cheekiness of it straight away, and just knew how I was going to use it.

I started by using a plain white cardstock and then opted to use a sheet of Ella & Viv graffiti  (I chose The Blues) and cut it into tags, using a variety of the colours on the sheet to poke through.

Before I started building my page I grabbed Jo Sonja texture paste in black and a Tim Holtz stencil -Ruled- and created my background texture.

I love how thick this paste is.

I then wanted just a little colour flicked around my page so I used 2 colours, 1 Lindy's Moon shadow in Buccaneer Bay Blue and the other a watered down Art Anthology in Baby blue Eyes.

Being careful to only flick a little.

I painted then chipboard with Art Alchemy Acrylic in Light Patina and then rubbed Metallique Wax over the top once dry. Love this slight grunge feel it gave to the chippy.

Then I started the layering with the tags I had created some thread and chippy. Foam tapping as I went.

Because of the cheekiness of the photo I chose a couple of quotes from the Small Talk range by Tim Holtz. Very useful and playful stickers. 

Lastly my title is from Cocoa Vanilla Boys Rule die cut pack.
