Hi everyone, Emma here today,
hoping I can inspire a little creativity for your Sunday.
So for today I share this layout that is inspired by this image I found on Pinterest and the muted watercolour tones it has.
I find the colours and the image very calming and I wanted the chipboard and my twist on it to extend that sense of calm.
Here are the chipboard pieces I chose to compliment the image...….
I wanted the stag to still look like he was standing on ground and that his antlers where being extended above. So for the top part of the image I chose to use a couple of the mini branches, inked with a distress oxide and then I dotted a little blue ink spray on the leaves to soften and blend with the colours in the image.
Because the image had bubbles I wanted these to go up the page also so I chose just a couple of the dotty bits and cut them to make smaller individual rounds.
These were first sprayed with a Dylusions ink and then painted over the top with a Prima opal acrylic to give it a blue sheen.
For the chipboard around the sides of my image I chose a couple of the pieces from the wild flowers collection. I cut one in half to give the impression of extending out and across from the picture. and then added another one of the flowers up against it to make it look like it was all one piece.
These I painted with Prima Acrylic, the chipboard just paints so easily and dries super fast.
I love the end result and had a lot of fun creating it and really making it feel a bit like a 'story'.
I hope you get to have some crafty time and I will see you all again a bit later in the month.
Till then, Em xx
