A moment Captured - layout for 2Crafty

Hi 2Crafty friends,
Emma here today with you all.
The layout I created for today has some pieces of chippy I really enjoyed playing with.

Here are the chipboard pieces I chose.....
Film Strips-Tiny (units of 3)Mini Sampler Set 1 (unit of 3)
A Moment Captured (unit of 3)
Mini Tags (unit of 3)

So for my finishes on the tiny Film strips I have black embossed. The definition on these little pieces are just amazing.

I used the circles from the sampler pack in this layout, and for these I just inked with a coordinating distress oxide.

You can also see poking out in places with the paper tags the chipboard tags, I used a couple of the smaller ones in the layers. These I inked in black and then used a gold texture medium applied with a palette knife to look a little distressed.

For my title piece I black inked the top 2 words and the 'captured' word I gold embossed.
I'm totally loving the gold right now.
It was fun getting a little more 'arty' with this page.

Have you used these chipboard pieces yet? I would highly recommend you get them into your stash.

Thanks for joining me today and I'll catch you all next month.

Index cards with Emma

Hi there, Emma here today sharing a couple of quick index cards with you.
These are something I have really been enjoying playing with of late, getting my grunge on and feeling just that little more free with my creating.

I started them with Distress oxides in 6 different colours.

For this one I used - - -
Once applied I flicked water over the inks to leave splashes in the oxides.
Once dry I applied strips of Dina Wakley washi tape. I wanted these 2 cards to compliment each other so both have similar washi.

I then stamped upon the cards in a random fashion.
Then with a Dina Wakley stencil I inked through to print my image.
A bit of Dina Wakley acrylic paint in - swiped across the page with a spatula.
I flicked some black carbon ink at the end along with some pink fresh quotes.

This card I used oxides in - - -
Again flicked water over the page before applying the washi tape in the same manner as the first one.
I chose a dark room door stamp for this one and another Dina Wakley stencil this time the face one.

Once stenciled through I thought it needed to pop more so I went over it in a Scribbly fashion with a liquid paper pen.

This card I also spread a paint and texture paste around with a spatula to add shading in places.
And another quote from the pink fresh stickers.

Finally on both cards I dotted and crossed in sections with more liquid paper to complete the look.

Thanks for joining me today and I’ll catch you all again real soon.

Here and now

Hi there, Emma with you all today.
And for my first SC share this month I’ve chosen to use this months moodboard for inspo.

Now yellow is a colour that speaks to me so much!
I dropped my inks directly onto my page after I had applied a coat of Clear Gesso and then dried quickly to keep the splat look happening. As you can see in the image below.

Then instead of using stamps I decided to use up some of the Tim Holtz rub ons. I rubbed them where I felt would peek through once I added my paper layers and photo.

I chose 2 papers from the Pink Paislee Paper pad and only 2!!
I tore these and placed behind the photo.
Before I placed my photo I flicked with a bit of Distress oxide in Squeezed lemonade so that it brought the background paper and the layered paper together.

In my embellishments I chose 2 Finnabair metal flowers, I love adding the metals in amongst the chippy and Paper. The leaves I inked with distress oxide in Hickory Smoke

I added a couple of Heidi Swapp black rhinestones to finish it all off.

I hope you get a chance to play with this moodboard as it’s just pure Spring goodness!
I look forward to seeing your creations.
I’ll catch you again soon.
