Capture Beauty

Hi Everyone,
 Emma here with you today,
 sharing a page with a boho/vintage vibe.
Again I was inspired by an image I found on Pinterest, oh how I love Pinterest.

These are the chipboard pieces I chose for this layout.

I really wanted to make the Leafy Shrubs pop from this page so I painted it in the beautiful
Art Alchemy Metallic paint in the gorgeous Patina colour.
I love the Shimmer it leaves on the chippy.

Stunning shine hey?

For the Leafy Silhouettes I decided to emboss them in a chunky white emboss to add extra dimension and rusticness. (is that a word? it totally should be.....)

For my Title words I decided to keep them subtle only inking them with a Distress Oxide to compliment the yellow in and around my image.

I have a little process video showing exactly how this page came together.

I hope you enjoy it and inspires you somehow.

I'll catch you all next month with more.
Till then, Em xx

Escape under the Stars

Welcome everyone to my first share this month.
Todays share is totally inspired by the image, my love of all things Star Trek and sci-fi.

Here are the chipboard pieces I chose to bring this layout to life.

Because Star Trek is iconic I decided to go with a bit of a retro feel as this particular artwork is of the original Spock.
Hence this is why I chose the retro squares for the background. I Painted the chippy in an Art Alchemy acrylic first and then once dry stamped over it with a white ink.  The stamped image is the same one as I what I stamped directly on my layout.

The Circles I sprayed with a Dylusions ink spray and I chose a purple, a colour I very rarely use as I just don't like it, but felt this page would do purple justice, you know being spacey and all.

The arrows I painted in a Sparks over them being inked in black first.
I also painted the decorative disc under my arrows in the matching shade of purple.

My title word from the Mini word set is also in the purple but with an Opal metallic over the top to add extra sheen.

Over all I feel I have captured the essence of Space and beaming up into it.

I hope you can see where I was going with it anyways.

I'll catch you all again a bit later on in the month.
Till then I hope you are inspiring and being inspired.
Em xx

Keep the Wild In - ScrappingClearly

Hi there.
Today on the ScrappingClearly blog I'm sharing a page that I created inspired by this months moodboard.
Here is my layout and the board...….

I can not express how much I love this moodboard!
The colours really speak to me plus it's got a couple of shades that are my personal faves.

I started by using a piece of Kraft card, and then getting straight into the background using a couple of stencils and a texture paste to form the shape I was going to make.
Once dry I then started adding my Colours.
I wanted it to be rich in Colour so I used Silks acrylic Paint first, this was my 'dark' element.
Then I went in with a Distress Oxide in Faded Jeans,
My third colour is a Dina Wakley acylic in Penny.

I Flicked some Dina Wakley acrylic in Turquoise to 'lighten' the effect a little.
I proceed to stamp across the area in the same oxide as on the base and also in Vintage Photo to compliment the layout.

My chipboard I sprayed with a Dylusions Ink spray in Ground Coffee, and once dry applied Prima Wax.
The Fabric Tag you can see has been dragged through some activated oxide in the faded jeans to match the background.

The choice of embellishments for this layout were simple but bang on.
My title is from the Pink Fresh 'escape the ordinary' fabric die cuts.
The hearts are also from Pink fresh.

I finished my page with a couple hearts from the Prima Mechanicals, and played with the Prima Mega art stones.
I flicked a little of the dylusions ink around to tie the whole page in together.

And my page is complete.

I really look forward to seeing what you create with this moodboard.

I have been inspired by it for my next share later in the month also.

Till then,
Em xx
