Deer and fawn challenge

The amazing Deerandfawndesigns have had yet another great monthly challenge!! Here was what was expected....

Create 2 Project life cards on a project.....you can make them however you like....you could stamp, paint, spritz, whatever takes your fancy.  We would love to see them in your project life spreads, but for  those who aren't into project life, don't think this challenge isn't for you.... project life cards are awesome to use on scrap layouts too!!

So after one very busy month I decided to sit down and create a couple of PL cards. I never seem to have enough 4x6 size so made this the size I would make. Here are mine.....
I used a little mixed media on them both, dripping water colour off of the impasto paste on the white one and then flicking a little spritz over it before stamping....
And for the black one I used a stencil with some crackle paint, then embossed my words just for some different texture. Again a little gold flick of mist and some enamel dots to finish it off. Looks like this....
Because of such a busy month, I have not as yet had a chance to use them in my PL book, but can't wait to.
Hope you like them too.
And can't wait to see what deer and fawns challenge will be next month.
Till next time, Em. Xx

Scrap AWESOME with an R

Wow what an amazing day we had full of scrapping, laughing, being inspired, talking and bonding!!!
Our day couldn't have been any better....(well maybe we could have had a little more wine😜)....3 classes taught through out the day. Many ladies who have not been scrapping for nearly 18 months were inspired to start again, and find new inspiration.
I started the class with my LO...so nervous....but had a blast!!!
And having plenty of time for selfies with these amazing two.....
Nat then taught her AMAZING class....
This LO is just amazing! You really need to see it!! (Ok here it is)....
Amazing right???
And then we finished with the super awrsome Tammy!!!!
(She will kill me for this photo)
Our day wouldn't have been what is was without the wonderful support of our scrappy ladies, and I thank them all for being a part of something so special to Tammy and I!
I'm ready for our next episode, first true 'kit' launch of 'Kit the Habit'!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my review of a great AWRSOME day!!!

XOXO

Hi all,
Can you believe it's nearly the end of May already?
Months are flying past, so are weeks!
So because I didn't want the month to be over before I could participate in the latest mood board for Dlish Scraps, I made time today to complete a LO for it.
Here is this months mood board....
Aren't the colours so soft and pretty!!!!
I loved the kit that went along with this, so I created a LO featuring my boys and I together.
Which looks a little like this.....

(Sorry about the colour as I took it at night)
It is a lot 'prettier' then my usual style and I kept it very simple. I also couldn't help myself but scraplift the idea of embossing only half the wood embellishment. This idea looks so amazing!

There is still time to have a go at this months challenge over at Dlish.
So grab a photo and some inspo and get creating.
Scrap ya later,

Fabulous

Hey there,
It's been a little while between blogs, but today I thought I would draw inspo from the amazing May challenge over at Scrapping-outback. This challenge has a cool colour combo happening. It looks like this....

 "White with a Twist" Challenge....

So the challenge is:

Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST use at least one piece of chipboard. (as Scrapping Outback is known for all its chipboard).

How amazing is that!
I love this, I would never put red with this blue, but I just love the brightness and fun it brings.
This is my interpretation......(sorry about the shadowy photo)

Yeah serious photo again hey???
I also got to play with a technique I just love doing at the moment, and that's the paint flicks and dribble over the page.
Here is a close up.....
Hopefully it will inspire you to join in the fun to.
Go check this blog out for yourself and see what you can create!!!!
Till next time,
Scrap ya later.

Together

Well I decided at the last minute to create a LO for the amazing Deer and Fawn monthly challenge today. And to say I struggled is an understatement!!! I think the mixture of a really painful bad back and the real desire to scrap while I had free time didn't really mix this time!! I did create a page but it's not my best Im sorry to say. But thought I would share anyway cos it shows that we have bad days too!

So this is the challenge.....
April Challenge - use sprays, stencil, at least ONE paint colour & a household item as a stamp!

This challenge is fantastic! I love all the elements listed, and they are all techniques I use frequently, just not in the best way today unfortunately.

So this is my LO......
I used mists and a stencil (I love this stencil) using texture paste mixed with black paint. My home made stamp is where it all went wrong....I decided to use a fork to squiggle lines, hmmmm might not try that again! O well I guess I can look at it as this, I still got to scrap a memory of my gorgeous boy and I.

There are elements I do like on this page and that is the simple cluster.....
And of course the chance to use this pretty stencil ( it's a Tim holtz ).
I wasn't going to share this as I'm a little embarrassed by the final result but thought I'd show that it's ok to have a bad day too and not everytime is perfect going to happen.
Until next time I hope your scrapping endeavors are of the more perfect mistakes then the oh no ones! Xx

Dream big

April means a new challenge over at Dlish scraps and this month it's inspired by the theme Aztec Dreams.....
How delicious is this!!!!
So this is my take on the sketch and mood board......
I really wanted to scrap this photo as it means the start of something exciting!
A new business venture, and creative fun with the amazing Tammy!!!
Not a real lot of tecnique on this LO but definitely  a lot of fun creating it!!
Hope you like!
Catch ya on the scrap side......😝
