Selfie Time - Emma Zappone

Wahoo it's Saturday!
I hope you get some scrap time this weekend.
Over in the scrap suite we have some very cool monthly challenges, and today's layout that I'm sharing with you is inspired by Michelle's challenge.
It was to create a page using silly faces as the theme.
So fun, and so my sort of challenge.

Hard to stop at one photo tho 😜
I used lots of D-lish goodies, but before I did, I spread gesso on the base and using a couple of paint added my colour. Painting, flicking, stamping and just trying to feel arty, lol.
Then I built my layers with a few PL cards and I thought to add to the 'silly' I would make it a little eclectic. Adding random embellishments.

My colour scheme allowed the use of the very cool resin flowers, and some paper flowers, (using my fave mini roses yet again 😉)
I added a couple of D-lish flairs into my clusters and finished off my page with a handful of enamel dots and glass cabochons.

I had a lot of fun creating this one and playing with the challenge.
Have you had a play with the challenges yet?
Still plenty of time, they are all super cool, and full of inspiration.
I'll see you all next month.
Have fun scrapping in that time, and I will catch you all soon.

Snapshot - Emma Zappone

Yay!!!
It's Friday!!
That means end of a work week and the start of a scrap weekend. 😊
Today at D-lish I'm sharing a layout inspired by the JAP kit for this month.

I didn't go and follow the sketch but I did try and stick with the colours, with an added burst of yellow.
This photo is of my mum, aunt and my cousin. Such a wonderful bunch of woman.
With this layout I used lots of the kit bits along with gesso, spritz and stamps to layer underneath, and a little metallic paste used with a dusty attic stencil.
I loved the coloured string that wrapped the packaging so I tied it up and tucked it under my photo.

The layout replicated the title of the kit 'rustic charm' with the use of the wood paper background.
A few stickers and flicks of paint the layout came together.

And how could I not mention that amazing string heart veneer. I played around with the idea of leaving it plain or using a medium on it.
I opted for a medium and so I embossed it.
These veneers can be altered with anything, they are awesome.
The kit is sold out but the veneers and other kit bits are still available, why not snag your own.
I'll catch you tomorrow with my final share for the month.
Till then, Em. Xx

Smile - Emma Zappone

Hi!
It's Emma here sharing for the next few days with you here at D-lish.
Today im sharing something pink!
Pink!! I know right! (Lol)

I wanted to use the resin frame so I thought I would go with a feminine feel.
I have had micro beads in my stash for quite awhile and always felt nervous using them. So today I just thought go for it try them, use the.
And I really do quite like how it worked out.

I really doesn't matter if they are super random or nailer neat, I used them!
I mixed mediad it up a bit with a little water colour and some sculpture paste used with a dusty attic stencil. Just a little.
The flowers are always a nice feminine touch with so many to choose from in the D-lish shop, but I'm always drawn to the mini rises, but I also used a few leaves and a Hessian leaf for variety.

In my layers I used a journal it and twine with a fantastic D-lish flair to top it all off.
I love the use of small photos at the moment and to put one behind this cute frame was fun.
I hope it gives you a little inspiration for the day.
I'll catch you all tomorrow.
Have a great Thursday everyone.

Chill

Hi!
So it's that time of month where I get to showcase what I have created with the challenge over at SUYS
This month it is a very cool colour challenge.

And here is my take on it....

I didn't have any real winter photos so I drew inspiration from the feel of the colours and images. And used the word Chill to complement the idea.
I used lots of awesome products including Charms creations, studio 1440 and rainbow splendour to name just a few.
I like the relaxed 'chill' feeling of this page.
Just as I was in the photo, lol.
Plenty of July left, why don't you have a go?
Thanks for stopping by.
Catch you all again soon.

Out of this world - Emma Zappone

Hi everyone, Emma here today keeping you company for the next few days.
I hope your Tuesday is going to be a great one.
Today's layout is inspired my Mandy's cyber crop challenge over in the Scrap suite.
Here is my layout and the sketch challenge that Mandy set.

I decided that instead of using papers on the side or middle I would use string to get the shape of the sketch. And for those of you that know me, I'm not really a big doily user so I used some black punchinella behind the photo instead. And then I reversed the side of the embellishments to suit my photos.

I think that's the great thing about a sketch is it gives you a great starting point, and then you can use elements of the sketch that works to your advantage.
A lot of the time it's hard to find that starting point.
I liked that this sketch was open to interpretation.

I used minimal embellishments, opting for this because the background paper is full of fun and pattern.
I popped colour on my background by colouring in a few different squiggles with gel pens.
I hope you liked my first share for this month, I can't wait to share my next 2 as I've gone in more of a girly direction 😁
D-lish goodies used are: punchinella
                                       Flair
                                       Tag its
                                       Dusty attic chipboard
                                       Star wood veneers,
                                       coloured arrows,
                                       tissue paper,
                                       wood peg
See you all tomorrow.

Just Darling - Emma Zappone

Happy hump day!!!
Today I'm sharing a page that was again inspired by another one of our design team members.
This one is the challenge of Krisys.
Her challenge is to create a tag with a photo on it.
Well I loved the idea of this, but decided to stick my photo behind my tag.
And then use it on a layout.

And here is the original tag before I added it to my layout.

It is full of D-lish goodies, and it was fun to play with flowers and be pretty.
I love embellishments and loved that the tag became one big cluster.

Then instead of adding my photo to the tag I tucked it in behind and added a copy to create the layout.

I used a Dusty attic stencil on the tag and then used a subtle one on the layout paper.

It was a really fun way of creating a layout. I really recommend you give it a try.
I think I might even give this another go and place it on a card.
It's quick and fun.
Also a great way to use up the odd piece lying around on your desk.

Now to tell you what awesome D-Lish goodies I used:
Dusty attic stencils
Dusty attic chipboard circle
D-lish flair
Wooden butterfly
Resin flowers
Flowers
Twine
Sequin bow

I look forward to sharing my last layout of the month with you all tomorrow.
Till then, have a great day.

Hugs and kisses - Emma Zappone

Hi everyone,
Today is my final share for this month and it's the final day of June!!!
Can't believe how fast this year is going!! 😜
So today I have another girly feature to show you.

I fell in love with this photo of my cousins youngest and their new puppy.
As you all know I have a house full of boys and so to play girly is a real fun opportunity.
And I used some of the JAP kit with this page also. It had so many pretty elements in it. (I've saved lots, lol).

In the kit, it had this super cool polka dot crepe paper. I new that had to make it on my page.
I've been experimenting and playing with different mixed media and elements in my creative time, so I had fun playing with different stamps and paints with this one.

The flowers in the JAP kit are always a wow factor, and the colour combo in this one was just gorgeous. Amanda makes creating so easy with her kits. They are full of colour and inspiration.
So because it's the last day of the month, this means a new amazing kit at D-lish will be released tomorrow!!!
I can't wait!!

D-lish goodies used on this page are:
JAP kit
Twine

We have some very cool challenges over at the scrap suite too, you must check them out!
So till next month, have some fun scrappy time, and I'll see you all soon.

Spin me

Hi there scrappy peeps!!
I'm really excited to share with you a layout created for Kraft+!!
Tammy and I as Kit the Habit were asked to sponsor for the month of July!!
It a secret that has been very hard not to share. Being a sponsor also meant we were asked to be guest designers!! How exciting and a little nerve wracking at the same time!
Anyway enough talking and more sharing.
So here is the inspo board.....

Absolutely gorgeous right??
Here is my creation.....

I had so much fun!! I incorporated our latest release at Kit the Habit 'let's get loud' into it. Our colour scheme didn't quite suit the colours of the mood board so I chose to use the more neutral  elements out of the kit i.e. the music paper and rose papers.
I then used plenty of the randoms that are in the kit to create the journal elements. And the very cool ( no bias here 😝) acrylic notes are just perfect embellishments.
We are proud to use 2crafty chipboard in our kit and the circles here are theirs. I painted gesso and then spritzed them to match the mood board.
I'm rather proud of this layout 😜
I hope you get a chance to have a play this month over at Kraft+. There is so much inspiration over there I think you could have some fun.
I'll catch you all soon.
Em. Xx
