To Dreamland designed for 2Crafty Chipboard

 Hello friends!

Emma here with you today with another share.
Todays project is a keepsake made for my scrap room wall using wooden planks.

Here are the awesome chipboard items used:

Assorted Chain Borders
4" Mandala 2
Steampunk Cog Strips

These rectangles only measure 13x15cms. So I knew it was going to be tricky to fit everything on them that I wanted. But somehow I managed to achieve the look I hoped for.

The chipboard I painted in black Gesso ready for a finish.

I chose to cover them with waxes as this looks really great over black Gesso. I used a combination of colours to add light and dark shade.

Because of the size of the projects, I had to trim each piece to either share on both or to fit and suit the size, without taking away the awesomeness of the chippy.

I'm really happy with the finished result and can't wait to hang them.

Please enjoy the video of this project all coming together.....

Happy scrapping everyone and will see you all again soon.

1Stamp 4Colours Art Journal designed for ScrappingClearl

 Hello!

Emma with you all today to share a very quick and colourful Art Journal page.

I took one of the sheets out of my Art by Marlene journal and prepped it with some clear Gesso. For the colour on the page, I added a little water to create a watercolour effect. Choosing to use some IZINK dye sprays to now add colour. The first colour I used was sea spray, second was Sunflower which also helped create a little green colour and lastly Antique Pearl to create a shimmer.

Just a couple of loose circles was the start to the composition. You can see it all come to life in the video linked at the bottom of this post.

Next came the stamp. Using the AALL & CREATE #323 Navigate Home set, I went for the toucan & wheel stamp. The great thing about these stamps is they have numbers and words, so you can use them in all sorts of ways. To add one more colour to the mix, my 4th colour was made with an orange stamp pad that I had in my stash. This just tied it all together. And made sure it only grabbed 'pops' of the stamp including the numbers. I did the same with some yellow.

Then with the same stamp I stamped it on a sheet of white cardstock. Coloured it in with some markers and fussy cut it out. This becomes the dimensional layer on the page. Using a fine tipped pen I loosely scribbled around the circles and the border.

Finally a couple of Tim Holtz stickers and a little more flicking of the sea spray dye and this little project was now all complete.

Enjoy the process Video..

I hope you get some crafting time this lovely Sunday and I will see you all again soon.

Love this Life by Emma Zappone for ScrappingClearly.

Hello!!!

Emma here with you today, and I must say how awesome it feels to be back designing for
Scrapping Clearly again!!
How totally awesome is the January mood board
Because of it's awesomeness my design share today is inspired by it.

Here is the layout created......

Here is the mood board to refresh the inspiration......

The minute I laid eyes on it I thought I would bring more of the orange and soft pinks out of it. And so this is how this page developed.

The base sheet of paper already had a lot of colour on it but wanting to adjust it a little more towards the theme I added Rose Quartz & white linen Dylusions paints with a brush to make it look the same but bring it to match the colours more.

The chipboard is painted with Seth Apter inks in cotton candy & burnt orange, painting and creating a 2 toned effect.

The stamping in the background I must admit I had to dig around to find a good match, I found an old Finnabair stamp and matching in with the newspaper book paper used a Darkroom Door stamp.

For the embellishments I kept it very simple, and opted to fussy cut some Scrap FX scrappy bits, the ones best suited to the colours. Subtle but effective.

This was a nice quick layout with plenty of colour impact.

I can not wait to see what you all create with this mood board.
And I do hope this has inspired you to get creating.

Till next time, Happy Scrapping, Emma :)
