Enjoy the little things

Hi there, 

Hope everyone has been having some scrappy good fun since last blog (it's been awhile so I hope ya did).

This layout I'm showing today is one I created for a theme in Scrapbooking Memories mag recently, (didn't quite get the cut tho) but that I really enjoyed creating.

I loved using the mixed media on this one, i used a new stencil that I purchased from flutterbydesigns and used impasto over the stencil, but chose to leave it neutral instead of adding paint to it, so when it dried it would be transparent.....like this....

This way when I flicked some paint and rubbed 

Ink over it, it became a subtle feature rather then 'the' feature. This is such an awesome stencil, I'm going to use it heaps me thinks! I have also chosen to 'frame' a picture as well as the group of photos to bring them together. This idea I think helps draw the eye to what might be the fave photo or just add a bit of extra dimension to a LO.

I think this is something everyone should have a go at. And finally I love my 'cluster' on this LO....

I couldn't help but use a flower (even tho it's one of my boys) but the other embellishments create a more boyish flair. 

I really like this LO and hope you find some inspo from it too.
